Whee~ Been ages since I last updated. So, what have I been up to?

Work

As most know, I've been employed full time at Business Cost Consultants since September last year. Been really enjoying it, its a nice place to work, the jobs are interesting, the people are fun. I didn't realise when I first applied that they had a client base with the likes of Rangers and Celtic, which was a nice surprise. Been there almost 6 months now, almost at the end of my training period. Doing work on the new software system at the moment, and enjoying it.

Not much gone on. Omoikane, my trusty desktop of 3 years was replaced just after Christmas, being replaced by Valsione:

Best thing in the past few months however was Original Generations Gaiden. First boss in a long time to make me go "ohhhh shit....."

Dark Brain. Didn't expect anything too hard, went all out on him, eventually brought him down. At which point;

Warcrack wise, Ryune is quite nicely geared these days, and happily main/off tanking raids. This however, should not be:

Anoyingly, with the amount of work I've had and the amount of travelling I've been doing, I've not had enough time for SURGe. T_T I really want to go back, but I'm not about consistantly enough on Fridays and Saturdays.

Minamicon was awesome, epic fail by all that didn't go. Sarah and I did our Domon and Rain cosplay, was rather pleased with it, small flaws in mine aside. ^_^

End random rambling. I originally intended this to be more structured, but meh. Tom made me post it incomplete.

Been down at Sarah's the past few days. It's been fun, her family are fun to be around and I get on with them. Spent tonight watching Ghostbusters with her brothers and dad, which was relaxing and fun. The previous day we went out to Toby Caverys for a nice lunch, was so full afterwards it was rather painful to move. XD It's been a nice way to spend my final week of full freedom. Her family are awesome and great fun to be around (her mum supporting our argument to her brother that dolphins are intelligent by quoting Hitchhikers and her dad playing an MMO while we were watching Ghostbusters to cite two examples XD ). It's been fun ^_^

It's weird, life seems to be settling down at the moment. I start proper work on Monday, I have a girlfriend who I can easily imagine happily spending the rest of my life with, and my financial issues are fading away. I've got this nice settled feeling that's hard to describe.

Well, long time since a proper update.

Tom came up the weekend before Ame. Good to talk to him properly, since we didn't get as much time as planned last time we were together. ^^;;

Amecon rocked. Nice to be surrounded by so many friends and have so much fun. Omake was also the best I've ever seen. Oh yes. Didn't spend too much, but got some nice things:

- Mikuru and Haruhi figures (between me and Sarah)
- Noriko figure (another ^^;;; )
- Shining Gundan Master Grade
- Patlabor 2 Shiny Box (No 999/1000)

Sarah's been up since Ame, been generally lurking around, watching Smallville and playing WoW. Dinged 70 earlier last night. Sometimes however, things go horribly wrong:

Job interview on Tuesday for a trainee Business IT Consultant. Fingers crossed...

In other news, Sarah's ex David continues to be a hassle, breaking into her e-mail, WoW and Facebook accounts and (at least) changing the passwords as well as generally being an arsehole and harassing her. The invasion of privacy with her accounts combined with his previous act of trapping her in his room and refusing to let her leave till the next morning makes two illegal things now. If you've e-mailed Sarah, there is a chance he's read your mail, it's unlikely, but just so you know. The guy just makes me angry, given how he keeps escalating things it's worrying about what he'll do next.

Can't say I'm too surprised though, from the ending of OGs and the effort they'd put into the engine and animations it was clear they were going to do a continuation soon.

So, update of doom:

Fun started on Thursday, met up with Sarah in Central then went to the Counting House for dinner, then headed to the GA meet. Quiet meet, fun was had, and it was nice to catch up with people. Sarah and I headed back afterwards, we lounged around watching Gunbuster, Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged and generally having fun until around 9AM before napping. Was a good fun night ^_^

Got up around lunch, headed into town to meet people and had a few drinks before meeting people and heading back to mine. Guided the remaining few to mine, and poor Steve got shot at from the balcony. General info on the evening:

- Games. Projector = win.
- Pictionary = lols

- Fire. Sarah brought up her fire staff and we all had fun spinning and generally doing unsafe things like throwing fireballs (Scrunched up paper drenched in paraffin). Again, many thanks for making the night so awesome, you really did do a lot to make it so. ^_^

Bry, Sarah and myself stayed up late playing Sonic before eventually crashing. For me and Sarah this ended up being on the stairs, then later on the floor. Got up and headed into Central to meet the remaining people. Train delays meant we didn't get to go Ice Skating, but we still got epic swimming fun. Strangely the water was always perfectly empty within a 10m radius of me and Sarah. Weird. Headed to Ichiban after, meeting more people on the way and receiving a large cookie. Good to chat to some people I hadn't seen for a while. Headed back afterwards, fell asleep on the train, which annoys me since I wanted to talk to Avis and Cammy more. Didn't do much that night, we fell asleep relatively early (2AM) after messing around on WoW and chatting. Sarah soloed SM Library using only her feet.
Next day was mostly spent watching Excel Saga and playing Guilty Gear (Sarah's playstyle is rather enjoyable to watch :P ), with a short break to get cider. Took a break where Sarah and I went outside to have her train me in using the fire staff and to generally lounge around on the grass. Headed back in and finished Excel before crashing.

Woke up and headed down to Brum, sleeping and playing Ouendan en-route. Dropped my stuff off at Tom's, and was dragged onto Facebook. Headed to the anime meet, was fun though I got soaked in Irn Bru due to a bottle exploding. XD Chatted with Tom and played games when we got back before falling asleep.

Tuesday we went shopping and watched Nanoha before I headed over to Sarah's. We lounged around and watched G-Gundam and Arrested Development before being joined by Tom and Loz. Watched G until around 4AM before they left and the two of us went to sleep.
Wednesday was the failed cosplay shop attempt. Sarah and I slept in and met Tom and Loz slightly late, then we meandered round Brum failing to get the stuff we actually wanted, though I was dragged kicking and screaming back into Magic ( :P ) Headed to Tom's for a few hours. Went out for a Curry afterwards, which was rather nice. Don't think much happened that night, we watched more Arrested Development then fell asleep.
Thursday was spent mostly in bed, before heading to CVG. Sarah and I spent most of the evening playing the WoW TCG, before heading back and watching G Gundam.
Friday was spent relaxing in bed before heading into Brum to get some stuff. I got a few WoW booster packs and was lucky enough to get:

Headed back to Sarah's to collect my stuff before heading to the LAN. Quick summary: UT, WoW, C&C3, DoW DC, finished Arrested Development, chatted, had fun. Headed back to Glasgow around 2ish, slept most of the way. Home now, relaxing and catching up on things.

Ta to Sarah and Tom for an awesome week ^_^

I'm clearing out my wardrobe just now, and I just found my favourite sweathsirt from about 6 years ago. I'd thought it was long gone. it still fits! <3

ADD: Also found the large cardboard "SHARP-KUN" sign that was being held aloft at the bus station when I first went down to Tom's years ago. ^^;;

ADDADD: Also a Gas Mask. Not sure where that came from.... >_>;;;
